My name is Melanie. I am happily married to my husband, Dave, and we have one daughter, Sienna, who is 6 1/2. I was born & raised in Hawaii, attended Humboldt State University (in CA), and received my BA in Studio Art. Our family now lives in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Before becoming a SAHM, I showed my art in Northern California Galleries and worked as a Librarian. I have been scrapbooking for the past 7 years. But, art, crafts, and photography have always been a part of my life. Becoming involved in scrapbook art has effected my life tremendously, and has become my creative outlet and life therapy. I love to be able to document our life, through this passion.
Scrapbooking is an art form to me. And I don't feel that I have a particular "style". I tend to be "freestyling" it most of the time, depending on the products I use. I am constantly growing as a scrapbooker, and I tend to ebb and flow with the trends and products that are constantly coming out. I love to experiment with new techniques and styles, and I challenge myself to step outside my "box" with every project I make. But, a few things are always constant in my projects. They are a focus on photography, playing textures and 3-D effects, and of course, my favorite - FLOWERS! As a scrapbooker, I love the freedom to be an evolving artist, and I challenge myself with this every chance I get.
I am thrilled to be on the One Page At A Time Design Team, and I look forward to inspiring you, and sharing my ideas and creations.
